The Business Vitality Kickstart — Heartpreneur
The 20-minute practice, once a week

Less overwhelm. More progress. The question is: will you do it?

Twenty minutes, once a week, rewires your brain to look for ease, opportunity, and simplicity by default — cutting through the overwhelm and overload, so you get more progress with less stress and less energy spent.

Why this exists
I once stared at a spreadsheet for an hour without seeing a single number. That's when I found out burnout doesn't cost you a bad week — it can cost you the better part of a decade rebuilding.

I built this because I wish someone had handed me these questions twenty years ago. If I'd been asking them, I don't think it would have cost me a decade to find my way back. So here they are for you now.

What nobody showed me

Burnout isn't caused by too much work.

Most people assume it is — so they reach for delegate more, manage your time better, take a holiday. Those things help, for a while. Meanwhile the actual source of the overwhelm and burning out is still running in the background — still costing you. They treat the symptom, not the cause.

It's like driving with the brakes on. You can ease off the accelerator, take a longer route, service the car more often — none of it fixes anything, because the brakes are still on. The answer isn't to stop driving. It's to take your foot off the brake.

The real cause

Energy depletion — more going out than coming in. Not just from overwork, but from misalignment, fragmentation, unnecessary complication, controlling what was never yours to control, avoiding what actually needs to be dealt with, and clinging to what you should have let go of months ago.

What it costs you

Your nervous system starts protecting itself — and that robs you of exactly what you need to get out: creativity, clear thinking, good decisions. Recovery from sustained depletion can take close to a decade. It did for me.

Burning out isn't the tired, need-a-break feeling — that's normal, and it passes. It's what happens when that feeling keeps getting overridden instead of listened to. The fix isn't a break. It's a pause with a purpose — long enough to actually see what's going on, and ask better questions.

The mechanism

Seven questions. A few minutes. Once a week.

Built on effectuation research, heart-brain coherence, flow science, and neuroplasticity — distilled into something you'll actually enjoy with your favourite cuppa. Not eleven modules to push through. Seven questions.

  • 1GratitudeWhat are you feeling most grateful for in your business and life right now?
  • 2LightnessWhat's feeling light, fun, and actually working right now?
  • 3FlowWhat opportunities seem to be emerging on their own?
  • 4AssetsWhat do you already have that you could be doing more with?
  • 5SignalWhat feels heavy, complicated, or harder than it should?
  • 6SubtractionWhat could you stop doing, hand over, or strip back?
  • 7PeopleWho could make the next step easier, faster, or more enjoyable?

Plus one bonus question looking outward, and a weekly synthesis that gives you a single, honest next step — the one that feels light, not the one that feels like pressure.

What's here is the short version. Each question has more underneath it — extra prompts to make it easier to answer properly, not just quickly. More on that further down.

Why this actually sticks

The real shift isn't in what you think. It's in what your brain does without being asked.

Most advice asks you to think your way out of a state you don't have access to when you're depleted — creativity, intuition, clear judgement. These questions work the other way round. They change your state first, so your mind actually has something to work with.

Practised weekly, that shift compounds. New neural pathways start to form from the repetition — and noticing what's working, what to let go of, and what's actually possible stops taking effort. It becomes how you think. Not a technique for your worst days. Just how your brain runs now.

"Actively looking for potential, opportunity, and what to release becomes your default way of thinking."
  • Anxiety turns into curiosity — "what's wrong" becomes "what's possible"
  • Decisions stop draining you before you've even made them
  • You start trusting your first answer again — the one under all the noise
  • Overwhelm loses its grip — and what's left over is energy for the work that actually moves things

Sometimes that means doing less, not more — fewer offers, fewer commitments, fewer things pulling at you. But what's left carries more weight, because it's aimed at what actually matters instead of everything at once.

And this is the part that doesn't come from reading the seven questions once. It comes from doing them enough times that calm and clarity stop feeling like the exception.

The shift the practice creates

Heavy, hard, and tiring. Then light, easy, and full of possibility. Same business, same you.

Not because you chased productivity. Because once the friction's gone, this is what's left.

Wired for hardship

  • Working longer, harder, for less
  • Decisions that drag on for days
  • The business happening to you, not with you
  • Figuring it out alone, every time
  • Creativity and clear thinking out of reach

Wired for ease and opportunity

  • One clear, honest next step — chosen, not forced
  • Decisions in minutes, not days
  • The business moving with you
  • Energy that comes back instead of leaking away
  • Energy for the people and work that matter
An honest question

Could you build this alone? Probably. Will you?

Everything above is the whole practice. Seven questions, twenty minutes, once a week. Nothing complicated, nothing hidden behind a paywall. You could open a notebook tonight and start.

Here's the part worth being honest about: most people don't keep going. Not because the practice doesn't work — because life gets loud again by Thursday, and a notebook with no one expecting an answer is easy to skip. That's not a character flaw. It's just how habits behave without any structure around them.

If you know yourself, you probably already know which one you are — the person who'll do this consistently on good intentions alone, or the person who does it for real when there's a genuine commitment of time and money on the line, and someone in their corner asking how it's going.

There's also a limit to what you can see from inside your own business. A coach doesn't just keep you honest — they spot the blind spots you've stopped noticing, ask the question you wouldn't think to ask yourself, and add insight your own view of the business can't reach on its own.

Sometimes it's simpler than that. A coach who's been doing this a while often already has the tool, the connection, or the marketing idea you need — sitting right there, ready to hand over — that would otherwise take you months to stumble onto alone, if you ever did.

Neither is wrong. But if you're the second kind — and most capable, successful people are — that's exactly what the Business Vitality Kickstart is built for. Not more content. Structure, accountability, and a coach who's actually done this, so you get further, faster, than doing it solo.

M.Comm · Founder, Heartpreneur

Before Heartpreneur, Lisa spent three decades as a senior executive, business owner, and award-winning coach — the kind of career people build a life around. She holds a Masters in Commerce, and has spent the years since studying what actually sustains high performance: effectuation research, flow, heart-brain coherence, and how habits genuinely get built and kept. She's also a marketer and author of The Client Attraction Playbook — which is why the marketing ideas and connections she hands you in session are as often the breakthrough as the questions themselves.

She built the Business Vitality Method because almost everything she'd learned about running a business was built for output, not people — and she followed it faithfully until it broke her. Her focus now is a simpler, more human way of working: real progress, without running yourself into the ground to get it.

What early members are saying

You're not the first to sit exactly where you are right now.

"

I did the seven questions on a Sunday night expecting nothing. By Wednesday I'd cancelled two commitments that had been draining me for months. Nobody made me — I just finally saw it.

— Sarah T., Marketing Consultant
"

The session was the first time in years someone asked me what I actually wanted from my business, not just how to grow it faster.

— Mike R., Landscape Design Studio
"

Question five stopped me in my tracks. I'd been calling something "just part of the job" for two years. It wasn't.

The Business Vitality Kickstart

Everything you need to actually build the practice — not just read about it.

This is the structure for the person who's honest enough to know they'll get further, faster, with a real commitment and a coach in their corner than with a notebook and good intentions. Guided questions, a real session, someone asking what you wouldn't think to ask yourself.

What happens after you say yes

Your path through the Kickstart

Simple, in order, entirely yours to move through at your own pace.

  1. Get instant access

The moment you join, your Kickstart Questionnaire is waiting — no delay, no queue.

  2. Work through your seven questions

In your own time, guided deeper than you'd go alone. First thought, not best thought — that's the one worth writing down.

  3. Unlock your bonuses

The Cheat Sheet and your invite to the Private Facebook Group land the same day, ready whenever you want them.

  4. Book your 60-minute session

Bring your answers. Leave with one clear, honest next step — chosen by you, not handed to you.

From there, it's yours. Plenty of people take the practice and keep going with it on their own — that's genuinely fine, and the point of building a habit in the first place. If you'd rather keep Lisa in your corner a while longer, ongoing 1:1 and small-group options exist too — no pitch here, just so you know the door's open if you ever want it.

Before you go

A few honest questions

Yes — genuinely, you can. The questions themselves aren't locked away. What the Pack adds is what most people don't build alone: a guided first pass that goes deeper, a real session with someone trained to spot what you'd miss, and enough structure that the practice actually survives past week two.

This is built for exactly that. It's a practice for people who are stretched, not broken — the earlier you catch the pattern, the less it costs you. Waiting until you're in crisis is the expensive way to learn this.

It's designed to take a few minutes, once a week. The coaching session and questionnaire are one-off. If twenty minutes a week feels like too much to spare, that's usually the clearest sign you need it.

Most advice treats the symptom — manage your time, delegate more. This works on the actual cause: energy depletion from misalignment and unnecessary complication. Productivity is what's left over once that friction is gone, not the thing you're chasing.

You'll get the Kickstart Questionnaire straight away, work through it in your own time, then book your 60-minute session with Lisa. The cheat sheet and Facebook Group access come with it.

Full refund, no questions asked. Keep everything you've received either way.
